As a parent or carer of a child that attends Kingfield Primary School you are automatically a member of the Parent Teacher Association. There is an elected group of volunteer parents, the Chair, Treasurer and Secretary and a committee that regularly meet to organise the events and plenty of other parents who come and muck in when needed!

Kingfield PTA aims to build a sense of community amongst our children, parents and teachers. We ultimately want the best for our children and want to support them in their journey through primary education. Active involvement of the PTA within the school helps enhance that experience with fun social events the whole family can enjoy!

We work closely with the school and its staff to raise money to provide extra facilities and equipment for our children that would not otherwise be available to the school from government funding.

Summer and Christmas Fayres, Cake Bakes, Book Sales, Second hand Uniform Sales, Parent Social Evenings, competitions and much much more! Check out our section on regular events for information on how you can help.

People like YOU are needed to help organise and/or support these events. Any help from parents is welcomed and the more the merrier! You can attend the regular meetings and find out what needs organising and offer your ideas, volunteer to spend 1/2 an hour at a Cake Bake after school, wrap lucky dip presents or just turn up and spend your hard earned money!

All PTA members help on a voluntary basis so however big or small, your contribution will be very much appreciated.

You can contribute in numerous ways: attending evening PTA meetings, sharing fund raising ideas, helping with Summer/Winter Fayres during those weekends, donating cakes, uniform, good quality items for the raffle and much much more!

The potential of the PTA relies heavily on your involvement, whether it’s coming to the events, or organising and actively supporting the core committee. If we don’t get enough volunteers, we cannot hold our events, which means that the school and ultimately, the children, miss out on that extra bit of funding.

Every year, the money raised is used to provide extra resources for the school that benefits the whole school. In past years, the PTA has funded books for the library, the stage for the main hall and presents for Christmas.

The PTA committee can be contacted via email. Whilst constructive feedback is always welcome, please be aware that the people participating in the running of events are mostly parent volunteers doing their best to help and kindly give up their free (and not so free) time to make these events happen.
